In the capital, Baghdad, the second and final day of the workshop titled
“Legal Support to Prevent Falling into the Clutches of Organized Crime Gangs” concluded at the Female Convict Rehabilitation School. The event took place on July 29 and 30, 2026, in cooperation with the Juvenile Reform Department at the Ministry of Justice, marking the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons. Organized by Sawt Al-Insan Organisation for Sustainable Development, the workshop aimed to raise legal awareness, consolidate a human rights culture, and enhance the protection of vulnerable groups inside correctional institutions. The event featured intensive awareness lectures covering human trafficking, its negative impacts, and legal prevention mechanisms, alongside interactive discussions with female inmates to knowledgeably empower them and protect them from future exploitation.
