Specialized Workshop on Violence Against Women and Mechanisms for Their Social Empowerment

Monday, June 8, 2026, the “Sawt al-Insan Organization for Sustainable Development,” in cooperation with the “Nesmat Ataa Organization,” held a specialized workshop on violence against women and the mechanisms for their social empowerment. The event saw the participation of Dr. Sarwa Sherif Al-Jaf, President of the Sawt al-Insan Organization, along with several experts and specialists in the fields of human rights and women’s rights. The session was moderated by the expert, Dr. Mohammed Turki Al-Obaidi.
The workshop featured in-depth panel discussions that addressed the phenomenon of violence, its psychological and social impacts on women, and the current challenges facing women in society. Dr. Sarwa Al-Jaf, President of the organization, emphasized the crucial importance of women’s empowerment as a fundamental pillar for ensuring the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The workshop concluded with recommendations directly aimed at empowering women, reinforcing that all 17 Sustainable Development Goals are intrinsically linked to the empowerment and protection of women, who serve as the cornerstone for building sustainable and just societies.
