Sawt Al-Insan Organization for Sustainable Development Organizes a Workshop on Integrating Human Rights Standards in Shelters
Sawt Al-Insan Organization for Sustainable Development, in cooperation with Nesmat Ataa Organization, organized a comprehensive two-day training workshop on June 22 and 23, 2026, in Baghdad, titled “Integrating Human Rights Standards for Shelter Workers,” presented by the United Nations expert, Dr. Mohammed Al-Ubaidi. The workshop witnessed a distinguished attendance and participation by:
Ms. Rand Sadiq Al-Rubaie, President of Nesmat Ataa Organization
Ms. Mahasen Abdul-Jabbar Abdul-Ghaffar, Director of the Civil Society Organizations Department at the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs
Ms. Nahed Fadel Thabit, Director of the Human Trafficking Victims Care Shelter
Alongside a group of Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs employees working in shelters.
The sessions included a comprehensive review of the most prominent human rights principles and standards that must be available in the work environment within shelters, while highlighting the most important real-world problems and challenges facing this segment, and concluded with the distribution of appreciation certificates to the participants in recognition of their efforts and fruitful interaction.
